Traveling to Mountain Country
Hello from Charlottesville Virginia! Early this morning (about 7:30, that is early for me) I headed out toward Charlottesville. This time around I had the pleasure of travelling with my son, Ryan. Our destination…the University of Virginia (UVA)! I’ll be staying in an AirBNB, my first here in Charlottesville. Ryan will be in an Elite Soccer Camp at UVA for 4 days and I’ll be on my own. So, with Monticello, Shenandoah National Park, and wine country nearby I will have plenty of options…

Welcome Luci to Just Following My Arrow!
Luci is a 10 month old Bernese Mountain Dog that is happiest in laying in the bathroom on the cool tile. We have been working on her obedience training and agility training. She has burrowed her way into my heart so quickly, we are a great match!

Crafting with friends! Camp Casowasco
Every year friends get together to quilt, fellowship and share at Camp Casowasco. I was fortunately to join them this year and I’m overwhelmed with how the Sisterhood Sensations have welcomed me with open arms. Camp Casowasco is located in New York State Finger Lakes Region and even though we have rainy weather the location is beautiful! No CHARLIE this time, I was fortunate enough to stay at the Galilee Lodge!

2021 On the Road!
Hey there peeps! So 2020 was a wash for Charlie and I, no camping going on. Fast forward to April 2021…and here we go! Camping in the Northern Neck of Virginia. Super excited to spend some time outdoors and see folks I haven’t seen in over a year! So Charlie is parked and has water, electric and sewer. I’ve got his visor up and his rug out!! I’ve added a new little partner to my travels. If you look in the bottom left corner of the picture you will see “J”! A 10 year old 6 pound Yorkshire Terrier who thinks she’s a 150 pound mastiff!! Looking forward to good…

Gas Strut Addition to Charlie’s Front Tub
Just completed the first modification to Charlie! While I love Charlie, his front tub needed some help to make it easier to use. The front tub that holds his propane tank and battery has no way to hold it up. After researching as solution I came across a post on the nuCamp forum that provided the perfect solution. In the new T@B models, 2020, this issue is resolved by installing a gas strut to the lid. Fortunately the post identified the part numbers that were needed. All that was left was for me to call the dealer and request them to order the parts. Shout out to Karen from TAC…

Best Coffee Option on the Road!
So let’s face it, life without that morning Cup of Joe just doesn’t cut it for those of us that need that coffee jolt to jump start our day. I am getting him prepped and ready to travel. With Charlie I expect great FREEDOM on the road while long-distance commuting. Well, for 2 reasons: first, Rochester is about as close to home as it gets for me, and second, for my son to visit a college. Hiking Double Falls Loop, Shenandoah National Park
It was blistering hot (93 degrees Fahrenheit), and I thought “now or never!” A person who plans would have started out much earlier in the morning, but I fly more by the seat of my pants. After doing some googling to get an idea of some potential hiking options I settled on the Double Falls Loop.
