    Hiking Double Falls Loop, Shenandoah National Park

    It was blistering hot (93 degrees Fahrenheit), and I thought “now or never!” A person who plans would have started out much earlier in the morning, but I fly more by the seat of my pants. After doing some googling to get an idea of some potential hiking options I settled on the Double Falls Loop. In part my inspiration came from the “10 Must Do Hikes in Shenandoah National Park” posted Johnny Molloy in Virginia’s Travel Blog https://blog.virginia.org/2016/06/must-do-hikes/.     Traveling to Mountain Country

    Hello from Charlottesville Virginia! Early this morning (about 7:30, that is early for me) I headed out toward Charlottesville. This time around I had the pleasure of travelling with my son, Ryan. Our destination…the University of Virginia (UVA)! I’ll be staying in an AirBNB, my first here in Charlottesville.
